About Walson Chinese School

Walson Chinese School was founded in 1996 by several Chinese families that are originally from Taiwan and Hong Kong, of Fayetteville and Springdale Arkansas. At that time, the school consisted of 4 teacher and 21 students (vs. 11 teachers and around 80 students now). Teachers are mostly voluntary mothers and the ages of students ranged from 5 to 17 years old. The school, at that time, was not only a place for youngsters to learn their traditions and heritages but also an important gathering location from local Chinese families.
